Recorded Webinar: AllegroCache, An Introduction to Object Persistence in Lisp

From Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

AllegroCache is a persistent database that stores definitions and instances of Lisp classes. It supports a full transaction model with long and short transactions, and meets the classic ACID requirements for a reliable and robust database. AllegroCache has been part of Allegro CL for several years. This Webinar will provide an introduction to the product, with several worked out examples, and discuss issues such as database operations including committing and rollback, using AllegroCache in a multithreaded environment including using it with web servers, backup and recovery, updating to new versions, and where database operations diverge from normal Lisp programming.
