*strict-parse*

Variable, net.uri package

The initial value is t. If nil, these restrictions on parsing URI files are relaxed:

• Non-ASCII characters are allowed
• Queries can also contain the characters #^, #| and #?

It turns out that many websites just do not follow RFC2396 restrictions, so this variable was added to allow them to be processed.
