Arguments:
Calling this function, which returns the new value of the
:current-generation
parameter, increases the current
generation number and, if necessary, the value of
:tenure-limit
as well. Since tenuring only occurs at
scavenge time and calling this function does not cause a scavenge,
objects are not tenured simply by a call to this function. Users
should be sure that this function is called regularly, either by
having the value of the switch :auto-step
be
true, or by explicitly calling this function.
