When the value of this variable is non-nil
jlinker includes a timestamp in progress messages and some error
messages. The initial value is nil.
If the non-nil value is a string it is
assumed to be a date-time format string (see locale-format-time); if another
non-nil value is specified, the format string
"%T " is used.
