1. Free Webinar: Selecting the RIGHT Database for your Project
(Relational vs. RDF Triple Store)

This seminar will discuss the similarities and differences between
relational databases, object oriented databases and RDF triple
stores. We will cover several topics for consideration when trying to
decide which type of database to use for application development.

Franz Inc. has been in the business of supporting relational databases
for over 20 years, object oriented databases for over 10 years and RDF
triple stores now for 4 years. During this presentation we look at a
number of customer use cases and offer our informed perspective on
data storage technologies.

2. New "Gruff" Training Videos - A Graph Browser for AllegroGraph

Gruff is a triple-store browser that displays visual graphs of subsets
of a store's resources and their links. There are now 8 short training
videos on various aspects of using the tool, about 1/2 hour total.

3. Upcoming Conference: Ontology for the Intelligence Community (OIC 2008)

December 3-4, Fairfax, Virginia. The theme this year is "Towards
Effective Exploitation and Integration of Intelligence Resources". We
will be giving talks on "Common Logic for an RDF Store" and
"Unification of Geospatial Reasoning, Temporal Logic, & Social Network
Analysis in an RDF Database"
