1. Free Webinar: Geospatial Reasoning for Moving Objects

Thursday, August 6, 2009 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM PDT

This Webinar is combination of two of the invited talks we are
presenting at GeoWeb 2009 this week (see item #2 below).

Summary: As a provider of RDF based software and services, we see an
increased interest from telecom providers, the transportation industry
and defense integrators in tracking hundreds of thousands to millions
of objects in real time. Consider fleets of trucks, swarms of
airplanes, track data for soldiers on the (urban) battle field, track
data for endangered animals, or location based services like Loopt.

In this presentation we will discuss and demonstrate the role of
semantic technologies and performance considerations in developing
these projects.

2. Upcoming Conference: GeoWeb 2009 - July 27-31 in Vancouver, BC

GeoWeb conferences focus exclusively on geographic information
systems, the Internet, and the economic potential associated with
their convergence. We will be giving two talks, "Moving Objects: Look
in the Past, Manage the Present and Predict the Future", "Efficient
Encoding of 2-D and 3-D Geospatial RDF Data with Near-Linear Search
Time", and "GeoTemporal Reasoning in Diverse Data Sources".

3. Upcoming Conference: I-SEMANTICS '09 - Sept. 2-4, Graz, Austria

The International Conference on Semantic Systems (I-SEMANTICS '09)
offers a forum of exchange for innovative businesses and European
research institutions and companies that concentrate on semantic
technologies. We will be giving a talk, "GeoTemporal Reasoning for the
Social Semantic Web" snf participating in a "Pragmatic Web Panel
Discussion"
