This page is a collection of lisp jobs found by mechanical search of several job-listing web sites. We encourage you to visit some of these job sites directly, as many feature additional search capabilities such as search over restricted geographical areas.
The search program and output HTML generation are written in Lisp. In general, results were obtained for each site by searching for all available jobs that mention the keyword "lisp". A not-very-clever heuristic then assigns a goodness score for each job depending on how Lisp appears in the page, and whether and how certain other language names and word stems appear. For example, a specific mention of "Common Lisp" raises the ranking of the page. Appearance of "lisp" in close sequence with other languages is given less weight, as the appearance is likely just a shopping list.
As a special case, appearances of certain words related to Autocad Lisp are given strong negative weight. This dosn't mean we disapprove of Autocad, but only that the Common Lisp and Autocad communities are fairly disjoint and few Autocad job listings would be of interest to our readers.
Be aware that it is common for a particular job to be listed on multiple job search sites, and even multiple times within a single site by different recruitment organizations that happen to post to that site.
The program tries to hash the listings it sees and remember the date it first saw each listing. The hashing is somewhat brittle in face of changing formats and changing advertising links. There are some heuristics to try to cope with this, but don't depend on the listed dates.
