1. Free Webinar: New features in Allegro CL's CG and the IDE

10:00 AM Pacific, Thursday, April 22

Common Graphics and the IDE have a new look and feel in Allegro CL 8.2
(also now available for the Mac). In this webinar, we will review the
updated look, demonstrate the new splitbar widget, the X/Y graphing
tool (the plot-widget), the Chart graphing tool (the chart-widget) and
field any questions you might have with the IDE.

2. Free Webinar: Generate SPARQL visually using Sentient and AllegroGraph

10:00 AM Pacific, Thursday, April 15

This Webinar will introduce attendees to the Sentient Tool Suite from
IO Informatics as well as provide an overview of current developments
with AllegroGraph. Franz and IO Informatics have recently completed a
successful project at a Fortune 50 company and in the process have
integrated their respective technologies to bring users a scalable
platform for new knowledge discovery.

Attendees will learn how to explore RDF data by generating SPARQL
queries visually using Sentient and AllegroGraph. We will cover best
practices along with demonstrations using several example data
sets. In addition, we will demonstrate incorporation and exploration
of Linked Open Data to augment your existing datasets.

3. CLPython - Want to run Python projects in Lisp?

CLPython is an open-source implementation of Python written in Common
Lisp. With CLPython you can run Python programs in a Lisp
environment. Libraries written in Lisp are available to Python code,
and Python libraries can be accessed by Lisp code.

CLPython is developed by Willem Broekema and is released as open
source under the LLGPL.

This site is about a new book Nick Levine is writing, that will be
published by O'Reilly. Eight chapters from the middle of the book are
now ready for public consumption, including 2 chapters on
AllegroCache. Thanks Nick!
