1. Alpha release of Common Graphics/IDE on Linux

For users of Allegro CL 7.0 on Linux (x86) running GTK 2.4 or later we
are pleased to announce the imminent availability of an alpha test
release of our IDE and Common Graphics. The test release, available
to all Allegro CL 7.0 users, is intended to give a peek at the new
GTK-based IDE. We welcome feedback and comments. We will post the
URL for downloading the release on our main web page
(http://franz.com) and on our RSS feeds as soon as it is
available, sometime next week.

2. International Lisp Conference, The deadline for submissions has
been extended to April 5 (=today, this is a reminder). Please email
your intention asap for ILC session planning.

3. Physics for Game Developers and Virtual Environments using Lisp

Prof. Robert McGhee has been offering this Lisp based course at the
Naval Post Graduate School (www.nps.navy.mil) for many years and now
Franz is working with Prof. McGhee to offer this class to the general
public.

5. Tellme Networks Inc., Summer Intern Position

Summary: Tellme Networks is looking for a few smart, motivated college
students to work this summer to help revolutionize the way people use
the telephone. Join Tellme and you'll work on building web-based
applications in Common Lisp in support of cool new phone services.

Requirements:
- Technical major (EE/CS, etc)
- Strong academic record
- Programming experience with Common Lisp for writing web-based apps.
- Knowledge/experience with RDF, XML, SIP/VoIP, or VoiceXML a big plus
